Miller Freeman acquires Walter Fletcher tradeshows

Miller Freeman Inc.'s recent purchase of Walter Fletcher Inc., -- the largest acquisition in its 93-year history -- will give the company 4.1 million square feet of booth space for its 79 trade shows and conferences.

A subsidiary of London's United News & Media plc and the largest western U.S. publisher of business magazines, newsletters and directories, the San Francisco-based Miller Freeman already manages the third largest trade show operation in the U.S.

The acquisition of Walter Fletcher Inc., and its eight merchandise trade shows accelerated Miller Freeman's growth in the exhibitions arena, increasing the total of the company's U.S. trade shows and conferences to 79.
